Thermal Cork Shield™ is an environmentally friendly coating used indoors or outdoors as a functional finish layer of the building envelope. It is the modern way to stucco and parge.
Cork will not crack and remains flexible at all temperatures. Cork allows your structure to breath which paint and stucco will not.
Cork is Extremely light at only .12 -> .24 quarts/Lb so it puts no extra stress on your structures foundation.

Fire retardant - Noncombustible does not propagate flames nor does it release incandescent particles.
Recent tests performed by Intertek Testing showed zero flame spread and 10 out of 450 Smoke Development
Flexible - capable of being bent, cork insures an amazing functioning finish which will protect your structure for years
Mold & Mildew resistant – resistant to the growth of mold or mildew
Thermal insulator – It's natural function is to protect the tree that it comes from. It's temperature range of 32° to 85 ° F provides a resistance to heat 30 times higher than concrete thanks to its alveolar structure, low water content, and lack of conductivity of it's compounds
Waterproof – rendered impervious to water. Just like cork in a wine bottle it will stop the passage of moisture going through however allows it to breath. On your wall it is an effective semi-permeable envelope
Hypoallergenic – designed to reduce or minimize the possibility of an allergic response,as by containing relatively few or no potentially irritating substances
Acoustic insulator - reduces noise between 8 and 12 decibels at 1/8" thickness

Applciation
Once the substrate is confirmed to be solid and has integrity our Thermal Cork Shield is sprayed through a texture machine onto the surface by our certified applicators.
In some situations we require a base coat to be applied before the cork can be projected onto the surface. Just like in the application of acrylic stucco.
